NIGERIA 53 YEARS OF NARROW ESCAPE (2)

No doubt we have our independence on a flatter of gold, and though the later differences and many misunderstanding leads to a lot of calamities and which still follow Nigeria and Nigerians.
In this episode i will talk about the biggest problem Nigeria is facing, the name which is much familiar to even the kindergarten, and if you can go around Nigeria and ask this question about corruption, in am sure you will have the same answer and even tomorrow the answer will remain the same.

CORRUPTION

Before the independence of 1960, our founding fathers expected to put down a country which each sundry will be much proud of it. A country which will stand on it feet and make provisions for all basics, tranquility and prosperity. Agriculture was the first instrument of development that was used to develop this country up to 1966, I believe if the industry was not cut shot, Nigeria could have became Africa's CANADA.
Corruption is the highest problem facing Nigeria and for long time this country has been battling this phenomenon which is every where. Corruption is in the Aso rock, in the National Assembly, in the state in the Local authorities and even the mean of the office in the country.
90% of Nigeria's revenue is from oil, and lately we have seen how the industry became so corrupted and many misappropriation taken place in the oil industry. Apart from oil industry we are aware that all the subordinate ministries have fallen the prey of this giant predator and we can not see any light at the end of the tunnel.
Recently the even the pension commission is affected with this problem where billions of naira cast there way to some corrupt official account.
Some few among us have made the monies accrued which is for the benefit of all Nigerians but a favoured few have taken all the subsidies in to there pockets and make a lot if us slaves.

INSECURITY

Lately insecurity has been the greater Nigeria's challenge, and with so many mistakes occurred we can say Nigeria is in serious trouble in terms of security challenge. Ranging from armed robbery, kidnapping and ethnic and civil disturbance which brought the rough road to Nigeria's existence.
The present security challenge we are facing have tore the country apart, with every ethnic group harbouring it own line of defence, here I will categorically blame the government of the day for exaggerating and fuelling all the crisis going on in the country, because of their sentimental ambitions.
Let me be explicit on this, the Niger Delta crisis and the youth taking arms against the state, is unfortunate, though with long history of deception and corruption, where the past administration neglect the basic welfare of the Nigeria's root of wealth thereby rendering the people and place hopeless and in poverty. Though there are many policies introduced to bring the welfare ton the people, but the much corrupt and nepotism taking place is too much and many youth took arms not just for freedom fighting but for self assertion.
The North is also battling against the islamist and extremism, and in recent years many lives have perished and insecurity is became worrisome, many Northerners saw this as conspiracy to destabilize the region and it economy.
My next episode will be in the riche and exploitations.
