WHY WE CRITICIZES YUGUDA'S POLICIES (1)

In Nigerian factor and mentality, political critics are considered as venom, where the ruling class expect the followership to blindly support and unequivocally ascent all the bluff in leadership, we are just made to accept whatever a President, governor or any other public office holder should blatantly present to us, we are just expected to be a blind followers without an exchequer even if the leader has gone wrong, we are only expected to blow a horn of praise singing in his favour just to satisfy his blunder.
In Nigeria, people are subjected to professional and unconventional beggars in which everybody is relegated to abject poverty and therefore become a mere tool of manipulation and mockery,
when a corrupt economy does not stand to generally people need and provision of basic welfarism, the next disgrace is to comfort a privilege few with the state resources and abandon the principals.
I am compel to write this not because of rivalry or personal hatred, rather because, if critics are absent in leadership then, there will be a meaningless development. Whereby a state resources will be massively squandered and left the masses in squalor.
It is undisputed that Mal. Isa Yuguda was massively supported and elected in 2007, when the people revolt emanated to revolution which brought him in to power as the most cherished of the governors then, Yuguda enjoyed the  massive proletariat love and humble support because people expected good from him, although he was loved by the people of Bauchi State because of his track record when he was with the bank, his charitable heart win him a sympathy of the people and certainly he became there foe when he crossed the line on which became the genesis of his failure in governance of Bauchi State.
Somebody once argued with me that, Yuguda will always be remembered in Bauchi among it governors that made history. I told him of course every governor will be remembered even if he was a nuisance during his tenure.
In 2007 political campaign, Yuguda made a shower of promises to develop Bauchi State like no other, we supported him because we obviously believed in him as an emancipator whom we thought will adopt the Philosophy of the "Herdsman" that is to be a leader servant not to be serve by the masses. We thought he will be the leader on which people will lean on for betterment of life and welfare when all hopes faded.

I will never mind to waste my time trying to ascertain the various promises made by Yuguda when he was hunting for our support and vote, because in 2007 his popularity spoke for him when he conquered almost all sundry hearts and was so much available to everything people.
My criticism to Yuguda is so fair and rare, when I did it to make a difference. In an exemplary leadership, we expect any elected leader to be submissive to any opposition healthy critics if its not a direct abuse which is not my intention here. Our intention is to help the incumbent to be moderate and pursue his gold, because without a critics the incumbent will never be checked and little will the leader understand how he rule.
All that I listed above certainly, Yuguda made a personal promise to have accomplished them if not at his first tenure, although we have seen him delivered some like the creation of State University and some scholarship to student of Bauchi indigene to study abroad. Also, the accomplishment of Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport is worth recommending even though a lot of common people in the state have castigated against the airport as many have seen it as a misplacement of priority, hitherto, with the Over 13 billion Naira spent on the Airport, it could have been better to the people that Yuguda should built a standard Specialist Hospital,  which will be equitable to the world class hospital not the one that is being build in the premise of BACAS in Bauchi.
We can recall that Yuguda have without the masses consent hand over the sole specialist hospital of Bauchi to the National Teaching Hospitals, though with a Motive to bring better health facilities close to people, but with the nature of operation of those teaching Hospital they normally accept a case of referrals only, not a minor case on which a specialist hospital can handle.
If we correlate the internal accruals as the state revenue, and calculate all the federal allocation that come to the state account, we will understand how much the state have and how many project the governor executes then we can have a conviction on him.
In Case To Make It Easy For You, I will like my reader to correlate the income and expenditure of both the Mua'zu and Yuguda government.
Mu'azu spend his eight years and go and his projects speak for him, Yuguda is about to wind off and we may speak for him when we see the next government performance. Here Are are some figures to compare. Ahmad Mu'azu's In 2005, 57.8bn,
2006 59.93bn,
2007 60bn,
For Isa Yuguda's 2008 78.89bn,
2009 87.7bn,
2010 111.957bn,
2011 132.547bn,
I believe people may Understand Isa Yuguda's income is a double to  Ahmad Mu'azu's income as a governor.
The figures above are just a correlation not a total of the both income, I only select the stated years to compare the both administration income and I will expet the people to judge who present the best of performance with the take home allocation from the federation account.
No doubt, Isa Yuguda collected the highest allocation compare to his predecessor, but his physical performance can be score below average with the huge amount accrued to the state pocket.
In terms of debt and loan, Yuguda is the higher compare to the 20 billion Naira left by the Mu'azu administration. Nobody can tell how much Yuguda collected for the state as debt and loan, perhaps when he is no more a governor, we will understand how much the state is owing. But the prodigal habit of this man has make the state to fall sway of economic crisis which resulted to even having a delay in the payment of salaries of Civil servants, this shows that the state is now in economic dilemma.
Speculation have it that, Yuguda indebted Bauchi State with over a 100 billion Naira, and is willing to go for more loan with his kangaroo projects. For instance, in 2008 this government gave a contract of about 2 billion Naira for the purchase of Text books for Secondary schools, though a good gesture, but the nature of the contract and the way the books were handle is questionable, the scam that existed with the contractors supply of wrong instructional text books that end up mostly in the dustbin today. Unprofessional were enriched at the expense of Bauchi state students.
The text book are almost outdated and unuseful to the student, instead of the Yuguda government to develop a good reading Library in each school and equip them with state of the art materials like the books and internet, which I believe the 2 billion Naira can make a lot of difference in this. Today you can ask anyone in Bauchi state if the book contract in the state was not an extravagant.
Yuguda failed to curtail juvenile delinquency, infact he promoted it, by encouraging thuggery among the youth when he use to dash out money and vehicle to renounce thugs in the state.
So many Short coming of this governor, in my next part of the write up, I will scrutinize the projects executed under this government from 2007 to date.
Remain bless.
