Nigeria has been on the fore front of this comatose spell out of its economy, which I believe I am not the only person that opined on this.
Being largest in everything in Africa does not mean we have reach the equilibrium, but it always expose our shortcomings especially with the instance branding of our leaders as the most corrupt. Nigeria is the most populous black Nation on earth, we are the 7th largest oil producing/exporting country, our income solely defend on the petroleum industry, despite the large and arable affordable land for agriculture, with human capital, yet the per capita income of individual Nigeria is just meager, as compared to the billions coming in to the government accounts, which is being a possession of individual few.
Having a population of over 150 million, Nigeria can be Africa's engine room, the Chinese of this black continent which have the human capacity to be self reliance with the availability of almost everything that can attract development.
For years corruption is the basis of Nigeria, past government does not did enough to curtail the menace and devastation of corruption which has became the dream of many Nigerians.
Although we have many patriotic citizens that are ready to change the stand of this country at all cost, but with the corrupt many things are just falling apart.
Nigeria need to shift ground, in order to have actual economy, fight against corrupt practices will help a lot to outline our position in the world, then we have a sustainable economic input, and development.
Resuscitation of energy/power will surely bring back the lost glory of economic development, it will pave way for industrial boost, and thereby bring PPC to close to 1.
Agriculture will also be another sustainable economic development, by promoting research and development in this field, Nigeria can feed itself and also feed other nations of the world.
Subsidies reimbursement on agricultural produce and implement will citizens to maintain their ground on farming. Reintroduction of "marketing board" will also make farmers to feel safer with their produce.
Transportation system must be modernize to meet the globalization, road channels and railway system can stem up the much needed easiness in transportation system in Nigeria.
Unless we do that, I believe we are just playing with fire and we are just deceiving ourselves as a nation without direction.
Wiping out corruption is a war we must participate, help the country to grow and place a good future for the next generation.
